The Celtics said that Al Horford would be available to play in the second game of the Eastern Conference finals against the Heat.

Horford, who went into the NBA's health and safety protocols a couple of hours before Boston's 118-107 Game 1 loss, was upgraded to doubtful Wednesday evening and then to available in the span of about 90 minutes Thursday.

Marcus Smart, who missed Game 1 with a foot injury, is probable to play Thursday night.

Celtics coach Ime Udoka said that he was better but still had to test it out before the game. When he goes before the game, we will know, but he looked better in the shootaround today and we expect him to play.

The Celtics announced that White would not play in Game 2 because he and his wife are expecting a child.

rick is having a baby, Udoka said. Our guys are always supported in that situation. He had to go home.

White started Game 1 in place of Smart and finished with three points and four assists. When the series shifts back to Boston, he is expected to be with the team.
