All of us have been there. You are walking down the street, totally engrossed by the latest mind-easing Gadgettes episode, when suddenly a high-pitched sound pierces through your brain. You were shocked by the sound of a shell on the beach and then realized it was an amber alert.

Sometimes life-saving services are provided by the amber alert. The Department of Justice says at least 123 children have been saved thanks to the wireless alert system. They are so loud that a pair of Texas parents claim the alert caused their son permanent hearing loss.

The parents of a boy identified as "B.G" claimed in a recent legal complaint that he was watching a show with a pair of headphones when the amber alert blared. B.G.'s parents say that he suffers from a condition called Tinnitus, which they say happened only after the alert incident. B.G. listened to his shows on low volume.

The complaint states that the hearing loss in B.G.'s right ear continues to persist.

The suit accused Apple of making products that fail to automatically reduce or limit notification volume. The suit claims that when Air Pod users shove the devices in according to instructions, it creates a dangerous environment in the ear. We haven't heard back from Apple about the suit.
