The gaffe of the year was made by former President George W. Bush when he tried to condemn Russian president, Putin, and the invasion of Ukraine.

The former U.S president who was responsible for invading Iraq in 2003 said that there was an absence of checks and balances in Russia.

Bush corrected himself after he said he meant of Ukraine. It was very bad.

Bush chuckled and mentioned Iraq again to himself, before blaming his old age for the gaffe. Bush and the crowd were laughing. Many people died in the war.
