Well, at least the silhouette wasn’t painted on a sewage tank and shot from behind.

Kingsland, Arkansas, where Johnny Cash was born, has honored his legacy by painting his silhouette onto a water tower. The town's mamas do not seem to have studied his music well enough to teach their sons to be good boys and not play with guns, despite respecting Cash enough to create this tribute to him.

One of them decided to shoot the water tower in the crotch, creating a hole in the structure that looked like Cash was peeing on the town.

A Fox 16 News segment explains that the tower has been leaking since May 10th because the Cash painting's bladder is filled with 50,000 gallons of water. The leak has led to a lot of unnecessary waste and has resulted in discolored household water and low pressure. The damage costs the town $200 a day and the mayor estimates it will take another $5,000 to fix it.

It's difficult to say whether residents are willing to pay for the simple joy of stepping outside and seeing a painting of Cash on a wall. The man is going after the shooter. Kingsland's sheriff's office is looking for the person who shot the tower.

We may never know why the vandal decided to act on the Man In Black's junk. We will assume they shot a man in Kingsland just to watch him pee.
