Nathan Broadhead was named to the Wales squad for the World Cup play-off and four Nations League games.

He has scored 13 goals in 26 appearances for the Black Cats.

Danny Ward, Kieffer Moore, Matt Smith, and Dylan Levitt are all back from injury.

The captain of Real Madrid is included.

That didn't bother the 32-year-old in March. Bale scored two goals in Wales's World Cup play-off semi-final win over Austria, his first two appearances for Real since November.

Wales will face either Scotland or Ukraine in a one-leg play-off final on Sunday, 5 June, in order to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 58 years.

Poland is in the Nations League. They will host the Netherlands and Belgium on 8 and 11 June, before travelling to the Netherlands for their final game on 14 June.

Robert Page has selected a squad of 27 men to help manage the busy schedule.

The squad selected in March was smaller with the return of Ward, Moore, Smith and Levitt.

Midfielder Will Vaulks and Derby County captain Tom Lawrence are among those overlooked.

Bale and Ramsey are not expected to play much in Poland, with Page expected to rest his first-choice players for the World Cup play-off against Scotland or Ukraine.

Brennan Johnson and Sorba Thomas will be playing for their clubs in the Championship play-off final on the same day as Poland.
