TOP STORY: Man City to sign Phillips if Leeds go down?

According to the Daily Star, Manchester City are trying to beat Manchester United to the signing of KalvinPhillips.

If they are demoted, Jesse Marsch's side will be without one of their best players, as he is expected to leave this summer.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in the England international, with a potential deal worth around $60 million. The intense and historic rivalry between United and Leeds has causedPhillips to tell those close to him that he won't be joining them.

Since being a young boy,Phillips has supported the club and would prefer to stay in the league. He would find it hard to turn down the chance to work with the man he admires the most, given the fact that City have no rivalry with Leeds.

According to sources, Man City want to bring in a full-back and a midfielder during the summer window. According to a report, the cost of a transfer for West Ham United's Declan Rice could be too much for the manager as he looks for a replacement for Fernandinho.

Samuel Umtiti is open to leaving Barcelona for a loan next season, according to a report.

The France defender is expected to leave Barcelona this summer in order to get more playing time. Injuries limited Umtiti to one appearance for Barcelona.

The 28-year-old, who has a contract with Barcelona that runs through June 2026, is being pursued by a number of clubs. Umtiti, who took a salary cut earlier this year, is willing to leave on loan or on a permanent transfer this summer.

Barcelona chose Umtiti's replacement. Sport reports that the club is interested in Kalidou Koulibaly.

It's not clear how much a transfer to Barcelona will cost, but it could be upwards of $60m.

The centre-back turned down a contract extension to stay with the club beyond the age of 23.

Sky Sports Deutschland reported that the representatives of Sasa Kalajdzic met with the representatives of the German club. An agreement hasn't been reached yet, but they are doing all they can to bring him in, with Stuttgart willing to let him leave for around 20 million dollars with his contract set to end in three years.

The talks between Barcelona and Marcos Alonso are at an advanced stage, according to Fabrizio Romano, who says that the left-back wants to return to Spain. Barcelona aren't willing to spend a large fee on a player whose contract ends in 2023, so the deal will depend on how much Chelsea want for his transfer.

Endrick will turn 16 in July and Barcelona will begin work on a deal to sign him. It is expected that he will play for Palmeiras until he is 18 years old, but the Blaugrana don't want to miss out on signing him. Real Madrid has also been linked.

Calciomercato reported that Lazio are in talks with AC Milan centre-back Alessio Romagnoli, who will be a free agent in the summer. The talks have been going on since February and Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has made Romagnoli a priority, with the defender wanting to play for the Rome side.

Sky Sports Italia says Lazio are close to agreeing a deal for Marcos Antonio, a 21-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk player. A verbal agreement has been reached between the two parties. Lazio see Antonio as a player who can play immediately but also develop for the future.
