George W. Bush mistakenly condemned Putin's 'brutal, unjustified invasion of Iraq' instead of Ukraine, then blamed the slip-up on age

At an event for The George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Bush mistakenly denounced the invasion of Iraq.

The Dallas Morning News reported that a slip-up happened at an event at the Bush Center where guests, including former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, spoke about the state of elections.

Russian elections are rigged. Bush said that political opponents are imprisoned or eliminated from participating in the political process.

He paused, then laughed, and said he meant of Ukraine. The audience laughed when Bush said he was 75.

The comments were his first since Russia invaded. During the event, Bush likened Zelenskyy to a cool little guy.

The Bush administration was criticized for misleading the public about the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before launching an invasion of the country.
