In classic Kanye West fashion, his ninth studio album, JESUS IS KING, was subjected to an unquantifiable number of last-minute delays and tweaks. But early this afternoon (Friday, October 25th), hours after it was-as collaborator Consequence phrased it -ingested into the digital streaming platforms, the long-awaited LP really, truly, finally was released.

JESUS IS KING, as promised, is a gospel album, building off what we've seen snippets of via Kanye's Sunday Sermons. Like Kanye's prior solo effort, ye, the album's also quite short: just 27 minutes, spaced out over 11 tracks. There are a fair amount of features, including Ty Dolla $ign on "Everything We Need," and a truly bonkers (in the best way possible) saxophone bit by Kenny G on "Use This Gospel."
