Capital One has increased the bonus earned from the welcome offer on the Venture card to 75,000 bonus miles, but many will still be better off going for the Venture X card.

This is a good welcome offer. The Capital One Venture card earns 2x miles everywhere, with their miles now being transferred to more than 20 travel partners. You can earn 5x miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel, as well as 5x on Turo rentals.
The card has perks like a $100 application fee credit for Global Entry and no foreign transaction fees, as you can see in the summary above.
If you're interested in getting into the Capital One ecosystem, applying for the Capital One Venture X card might be a better idea. The Capital One Travel portal has a $300 annual credit when booking through the card. The Venture card has the same welcome offer of 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 in the first three months, but if you value those $300 credits at face value, you can reduce the annual fee to $95.
Priority Pass Select lounge access, cell phone insurance, primary CDW coverage, trip delay/cancellation insurance and more are included in the benefits of the Venture X card. The card earns 2x miles everywhere, as well as 5x on flights booked through the Capital One Travel portal, 10x on hotels and car rentals booked through their portal, and 10x on Turo rentals through May 16, 2023. The Venture X card is a better choice than the Venture card for many people because of the same welcome offer and similar net annual fee.
