  • Google has opened up the Wear OS companion app for beta testing.
  • The app has yet to receive any new updates since the beta launch.
  • The company is expected to launch Wear OS 3 on more smartwatches later this year.

There is a chance for Wear OS users to try out the latest software. Users can sign up for the companion app now that the company has opened up testing.

Users can sign up with a click on the Play Store. There is a direct link to enroll in the program.

You have been invited to a testing programme for a new version of the Wear OS. As a tester, you will receive an update that includes a testing version of the Wear OS by Google Smartwatch app, which may also include versions of its instant app.

The process of getting into the alpha is taking longer than usual. 9to5 suggests that there could be a bug related to the wait times. The clock app, which was recently opened up by the company, has the same wait times as other apps, with users leaving the Play Store to join the program.

The recent announcement of the Pixel Watch could be a sign of what's to come ahead of its full launch, as it follows the recent announcement of the Wear OS alpha program. It makes sense that the companion app could be updated in the same way as Wear OS 3.

Assuming users are actually Enrolled, we will have to wait until the new updates push any changes to the app.

The Play Store entry is where you can become a tester.
