  • Pennington said she saw Depp yelling at Heard.

  • A friend of Heard said that she shielded her from the way Depp destroyed property as he left the apartment.

One of Heard's friends testified about shielding her with her body when Heard was involved in a fight with Johnny Depp.

The jury in the defamation trial heard a video deposition from Pennington. In it, Pennington said he witnessed part of the last fight between the couple, which led to Heard filing for divorce and a restraining order against Depp.

The couple had been living apart for about a month at the time, and Pennington said she heard from Heard that Depp would be stopping by that day to talk or pick up a few of his things. Heard was living in one of the other apartments on the same floor as Pennington while the couple was separated.

Pennington said she received a message from Heard asking her to come over to her apartment.

When Pennington arrived, she said the door was locked and she needed a master key. She said she heard a call for help when she got in.

Pennington said Heard had never said "help me" before.

Pennington said she went up to Depp and told him to stop and to calm down.

She went over to Heard to protect her from him because she was afraid he would hurt her.

Pennington said that he put his body over her.

Pennington said that Depp kept screaming at Heard, who was crying.

Pennington said that the thing that sticks out the most was when he yelled at her to get up.

Pennington, a mixed martial arts fighter, said she started thinking about what she would have to do if she were forced to defend herself and Heard.

She said two of the security guards entered the apartment and encouraged him to leave.

'I was worried when he turned, he would do something worse'

Heard is accused of ruining her career and reputation by insinuating in a Washington Post op-ed that she had been the victim of domestic violence. Heard spent several days on the stand describing multiple incidents before and during her marriage to Depp where she said the actor physically and sexually assaults her.

She said he smashed items off the kitchen island and bar cart as he left the apartment.

Wine was splashed in the hallway, jewelry was thrown to the ground, and the front door of one of the other penthouses was damaged when she heard banging from the hallway.

One of Depp's lawyers accused Heard and Pennington of staging a fight at the apartment to make it look like he had destroyed property, which Pennington denied. Pennington's fianc, Joshua Drew, testified in a deposition that he had shown police officers the damage, including a dents in the door and the bottom of a wine bottle.

Pennington said she saw Heard injured after fights with Depp, but never saw him physically abuse her.

She testified that she was scared for Amber because she thought he would turn into a monster. Pennington said that he didn't have a lot of self-preservation.

Pennington was worried about her physical safety when the physical abuse was more evident. I was worried when he turned that he would do something worse.

She said that Pennington took photos of Heard's injuries. Heard filed for divorce two days after the fight.
