NCL President Harry Sommer said during a press conference that the sailings of the Pride of America Hawaii have been selling briskly.

Sales are being hampered by the issue of finding staff in most industries.

The issue with Hawaii isn't one of demand, he said.

Pride of America usually carries between 900 and 970 staff.

Sommer said that there was limited room for between 1,100 and 1,200 guests.

We will not ever lower our guest service, so standards were lowered to ensure a healthy crew ratio.

He said that they were not going to compromise the guest experience.

Some of the restaurants of Pride of America are closed due to the crew shortage.

Sommer said that NCL is doing everything it can to entice prospective crew, including raising pay scales and attending job fares.

We have every voyage through the end of October on a stop sell, so you can book this product before November.

NCL's 16 other ships, which are all in service again, are faring much better on the staffing front and are also experiencing strong demand.

Travel advisors are the line's largest source of business.

He said that they are important to them and that they have been happy with the results from the travel advisors.

They are approaching what they sold in 2019.

Sommer said that travel advisors are critical for the company because of the 40 percent increase in capacity coming with six new Prima class ships in the next six years.
