The 19-year-old has tried before to track the billionaire. In February, Sweeney began tracking and sharing updates on what he said was the private jet of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburger.

The aircraft was back to the drawing board after Sweeney learned that the Facebook founder was no longer using it. He said that he was able to draw a correlation between the latest jet's travel history and the trips of the founder of Facebook.

Insider asked if the aircraft was a private jet, but spoke to people for Meta and the family office. Sweeney did not respond to a request for comment.

Meta stated in its latest regulatory filing that it began chartering a new aircraft in March for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. According to the SEC filing, the jet is owned by the Facebook CEO and operated by an independent charter company.

Insider reported last month that Meta spent a record $26.8 million on private jet travel for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Rob Price of Insider reported in the year of 2019: "Zuck had bodyguard protection and access to an office with bullet-resistant glass and a panic button."

According to Meta, the security team of the Facebook founder has identified several threats.

Negative sentiment regarding our company is often transferred to Mr. Zuckerberg, because he is synonymous with Meta and, as a result, he is in a unique position.

Musk expressed concern over the account that was created to track the billionaire's travel. The account has over 400,000 followers. The teen was offered $5,000 by the CEO to take down the account.

Musk told Sweeney in a private message that he didn't like the idea of being shot by a nutcase.

There are other people Sweeney keeps an eye on. He began tracking the travel of Russian billionaires in March and has accounts for other public figures, including Mark Cuban and Bill Gates. He told Insider that he started ElonJet in June of 2020.
