The Capital One Venture Card has an annual fee. There is no cost to add authorized users to the card. The card's excellent perks and rewards structure make it a good choice for an annual fee.
The Capital One Venture Card has 2x Venture miles. This is an industry-leading return on everyday spending based on my valuation of Capital One miles.
This card is one of the most rewarding cards for everyday spending because of its simple rewards structure. The card has no foreign transaction fees and is not a better card for non-bonused purchases abroad. I will talk more about how Capital One Venture miles can be redeemed.

Every four years, theVenture Card gives a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit. If you charge the membership fee to your Capital One Venture Card, it will be reimbursed. If you charge the fee to your eligible card, it doesn't matter who pays it.
The Venture Card can be used to pay for a rental car. Within the United States and internationally, the coverage is secondary. How can the Capital One Venture rewards credit card be used? There are two ways to redeem Venture miles.
One way to redeem Venture miles is by paying the cost of a travel purchase at the rate of one cent per mile. Since the card offers unlimited 2x Venture miles, you're earning two cents per dollar spent for travel.
The Purchase Eraser feature is the best way to redeem Venture miles for travel purchases. You can make an eligible travel purchase using your card, and then you can use your Venture miles to pay for the purchase within 90 days. Within two to three days, your credit will be applied.
Purchases made from airlines, hotels, rail lines, car rental agencies, limousine services, bus lines, cruise lines, taxi cabs and travel agents are eligible for use of your Venture miles.
It's nice to be able to make your travel purchase however you please, and have the purchase reimbursed after the fact. You can pay for your purchase with Capital One miles.
Transfer Capital One Venture miles to airline miles and hotel points is my preferred way to redeem points. Capital One has 18 airline and hotel partners.
Capital One miles transfer to all of these partners at a 2:1 ratio, with the exception of Accor Live Limitless. Capital One sometimes offers transfer bonuses, which can give you more value for your Venture miles.
If you're looking to fly international first or business class, you'll find this to be most valuable since those flights are likely to be priced most reasonably with airline miles.
How can you decide if the Capital One Venture Card is right for you? The Capital One Venture is an excellent option if you want to earn airline miles and spend a lot in non-bonused categories. You can earn the equivalent of 2x airline miles on everyday spending with a credit card.
Let's look at some of the other things to consider if you're thinking of picking up the Venture Card.
I think the no annual fee Citi Double Cash Card is a great option if you are after a simple card. The card can be used to redeem points for cash back or to transfer points to other cards. The card could earn 2% cash back or 2x airline miles after a purchase.
If you are looking for a card that earns travel rewards, there are other options that are worth considering.

The Venture has a better welcome bonus and better return on spending than the VentureOne. If the Venture isn't working for you, you can always switch to the VentureOne.

The Capital One Venture X Card is an even better option, as it offers incredible perks that should more than justify the annual fee for most.
If you spend a lot in specific categories, like dining or travel, then Chase or Citi might be a good option.
