There are ways around the limitation of the M1 Macs, which only support a single external display. The new 10-in-1 docking station is being launched today.
Multi-stream Transport is used to carry multiple video signals over a single connection, and the 563usb-c dock has two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort port. The quality of displays you can attach is limited by the bandwidth limitations that come with this hub.
You can add a single 4K display from one of the HDMI ports, but it will only run at 30Hz. While this dock may be a good solution for productivity settings where you don't necessarily need high resolutions and refresh rates, users should be aware that a second HDMI display and/or a DisplayPort display will be limited to 2K resolution each at either 50Hz or 60Hz depending on configuration.
The Anker 563 dock has a number of other ports, including a 100 watt power delivery port and a pair of 5 Gbps downstream ports. There are two moreusb-a 2.0 ports that are good for peripherals like mice and keyboards.
The 563 is powered by a 180 watt external brick and measures in at a little under 7 inches by a little over 3 inches and just about an inch thick. It is available from both Amazon and Anker.
The massive 757 Portable Power Station and the Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K Projector are two of the new products that are now available to ship.
The white version of the highly anticipated Anker 736 100 watt GaN charger that sold out in black last month is now available for $79.99 at Amazon. The AnkerMake M5 3D printer is in its final days on the crowd funding website, where it has seen over 11,000 backers and is looking to hit its final stretch goal of $9 million in pledges.
