The NBA has seen a resurgence of big men over the past few seasons. Paint-oriented players have been the past fourMVPs. The Denver Nuggets center won his second consecutive award a few weeks ago, while the Milwaukee Bucks star won it in back-to-back years.

With the big man renaissance in full effect, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant asked a debate-worthy question. Which centers from the 1990s would be in contention for Most Valuable Player honors in the NBA today? He mentioned Basketball Hall of Famers David Robinson and Patrick Ewing. Robinson won the award in 1995 and O' Neal did the same in 2000.

Which centers from the 90s would be in the mvp conversation if they played in todays nba?

Some of the answers were from players of the past and present. The father of Trae Young had only one name in mind when he was asked the question. The elder Young played for Texas Tech from 1996 to 2000 and then professionally in France.

I got Pat Ewing, shaq and David Robinson https://t.co/IsL1zUJMUc

A little later, the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar and four-time Most Valuable Player, James chimed in with his choices. James picked Hakeem Olajuwon over Ewing over Robinson, despite the fact that they both agreed on Robinson. In 1994, Olajuwon won the award.

Shaq, Dream, Admiral.

We will never know if these old-school centers could contend for the NBA's Most Valuable Player award. Who would make your list?
