It has been over three years since the second season finale of The Orville, and nearly eight months since we last had a tease for Season 3.
The third season premiere was pushed back to March 10 because of that. The crew of the Orville will be back in action on our screens in a few weeks, thanks to the patience of ours.
Norm MacDonald, the comedy genius who voiced the Gelatin engineer in The Orville, died in April 2019. He recorded all of his scenes before he died of cancer last year, so this will be his final performance.
Will Ed Mercer be promoted to admiral now that he has led the Planetary Union fleet against the Kaylon in the Battle of Earth? Perhaps he will go through an emotional self-evaluation like the one in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

There are many questions that may or may not be answered on June 2.
