Joe Burrow: 'I'm Not Going to Accept Losing' After Bengals' Super Bowl Run

After reaching the Super Bowl last season, the Cincinnati Bengals enter the campaign with high hopes.

After falling to the Los Angeles Rams on the biggest stage, Joe Burrow has set a higher bar and is aiming for a championship this season.

"I'm not going to accept losing," he told reporters.

The best season since 1988 was the one in which they reached the Super Bowl but lost to the San Francisco 49ers.

The 10-7 record was good for first place in the AFC North. The team had not finished first in its division since 2015. In the playoffs, the Cincinnati went on to beat the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee and Kansas City teams to reach the Super Bowl.

Matthew Stafford and the Rams beat the Cincinnati Reds by three points in the Super Bowl. After being sacked seven times in that game, it was clear that he needed more protection, and he had been sacked 19 times in the playoffs.

The offensive line was the only weakness of the team last season, and they completely reworked it this off-season in hopes of making it to the Super Bowl.

The Cincinnati franchise has not had a stable option at the right guard position in years. Ted Karras is a former New England offensive lineman who can play either center or left guard.

With the additions of the offensive line and the return of Ja'Marr Chase and other players, the Bengals could be in line to finish with their most wins since 2015.

They will face a much more difficult conference in the future, with the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns all checking in with better odds to win the conference at this point.
