The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will make a recommendation before children in the age group can get the boosters.

According to multiple reports, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is expected to discuss the booster for children during a meeting on Thursday.

According to the New York Times, the CDC is likely to recommend the booster dose after the meeting, and shots could start for children in the age group as early as Friday.
