In their new book, The Office BFFs: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There, the cast and crew of The Office talked about a terrible day on set.

The former co-stars and current co-hosts of Office Ladies shared that the cast almost died while filming the ninth season of the show.

We want you to know that Bryan Cranston was an accessory to almost murdering the entire cast of The Office, as he was known in crystal methamphetamine circles.

In the hopes of getting some free vacation days, Jim tricks the owner of the building that houses Dunder Mifflin into thinking that the office is unsafe and in need of repairs. The majority of the episode takes place on the bus. This is a very Dwight move.

The small airport shuttle was loaded with 14 actors, four crew members, several desks, chairs, lamps, printers, a watercooler, a microwave, a giant-screen TV, and a coffeemaker. It was nice! Not at all cramped! Sounds safe!

What could go wrong? Who could have predicted that the entire cast would be killed twice? The Ellie Kemper story is for another time. We are here to get the near-death details.

When the bus left the parking lot and rolled out onto the road, things took a real turn.

In the story, Jim convinces Andy that since they are stuck on the work bus, he should take everyone to the best place in town to get pie. Kinsey explained that it was time to roll because Andy agreed. The producers wanted to film some scenes on the moving bus, which may have sounded simple, but a few major (literally life-threatening) hiccups got in the way.

The air-conditioning on the bus had to be turned off because it was too loud on a hot day. Oscar looked dead inside. It was a curvy road. The heat and the nausea seemed like our worst obstacles at that point.

They were not.

Things went from bad to worse when it came time to capture a scene that involved Dwight driving like a maniac. The bus was hooked up to a rig and the actors pretended to fall to each side of the vehicle, but the scenes didn't look authentic. The bus was detached from the rig and a stunt driver climbed on it. We were told to keep doing what we were doing. We went.

We were all bouncing down the road unaware of what was about to happen. Kinsey explained that the assistant director yelled "Swerve!" when they heard the lines were going smoothly. I think he did the same thing as Cole Trickle in DAYS OF TAPPS. The entire cast and contents of the bus flew into the side of the party bus. When the stunt driver was told to swerve as hard as he could without flipping the bus over, no one thought about the furniture, props, or set decorations being tied down.

Fishcer said that she was pinned against the side of the bus with Stanley on top of her.

We were all standing against the side of the bus. The chair crashed into Jake. I was shoved against the glass window when Jake crashed into mine. There were papers everywhere. As the lamp slid into my lap, I caught it. Kinsey explained that a few people fell on the bus floor because so many things had fallen on top of them.

The cast took a break before getting back on the bus. The Death Bus struck again.

They got a portable air-conditioning unit and we can pull it behind the bus. It is completely quiet. The bus won't be so hot this afternoon, we were thrilled, and as we loaded back onto the cool, reorganized bus, everyone relaxed and decided to put the morning behind us.

We went. No more laughing fits. No more peeing. We were hitting our shots. The smell was funny when I noticed it. She continued to raise the concern but was repeatedly dismissed. The camera operator spoke. She did not feel well. She stumbled and set her camera down.

The portable air-conditioning unit's Intake hose was next to the ExHAUST pipe on the bus. The hose was blowing into the bus's roof. We were being slowly poisoned. Not so slowly, actually.

Some might say that the beloved show that day was saved by the nose of Fischer. Those people would be correct. The cast finally got to eat some food.

What an episode to have ended. The episode was directed for the books.

Bryan Cranston is poor. Kinsey wrote later in the chapter that she gave him a big hug.
