After coming extremely close to nabbing the top spot on the U.K. albums chart on more than one occasion, English alternative rock outfit Foals finally claim the No. 1 rung with the second part of their double release.

The band's new studio effort Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2 debuts atop the albums chart across the pond, securing the group their first leader.

Earlier this year, the first part of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost narrowly missed the No. 1 spot, starting in second place instead. The title was their second to do so, as their 2013 album Holy Fire also had to settle for the runner-up spot. Three other full-lengths from Foals, Antidotes, Total Life Forever and What Went Down, all made it to the top 10 as well.

As the album it's featured on debuts at the top, one song featured on the project, "The Runner," debuts at No. 87. So far, that track is the only individual title from the album to chart in the country.

Foals' Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2 was stuck in a tight race for the top rung all this past tracking week, but after all is said and done, the rockers ended up on top. U.K.-based singer-songwriter James Arthur sees his new effort You land at No. 2 upon its arrival, becoming his third top two title.
