The superpowered humans of Amazon's The Boys are a danger to themselves, but the megacorporation that secretly created them poses the biggest threat. A new trailer for the upcoming third season of The Boys makes clear that the organization might be on the verge of getting its comeuppance, but this has been obvious since the series' very first episode.
The second season of The Boys detailed how Vought brought on a deranged Nazi to join the Seven, its flagship team of superheros, in addition to secretly exposing children to chemicals that eventually gave rise to the world's population of super people. If the truth about Vought was to ever fully catch on in the general public, the company might immediately collapse. The season 3 trailer shows Vought holding up well as Homelander does some damage control while promoting Vought's upcoming movie about the Seven.
In a nod to the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Homelander appeared on a variety of news networks to promote the film and to distance himself from his antisemitic former teammate. He has always been prone to deception, and his words are meaningless because he is saying the same thing to every reporter he speaks with. The larger exploration of Vought's self-destruction isn't over just yet, according to the way Homelander is cracking apart mentally.
The third season of The Boys will be available on Amazon Prime on June 3rd.
