The Wall Street Journal reported that Rivian is in a legal battle with a key supplier that could delay vans ordered by Amazon.

Amazon placed an order for 100,000 electric delivery vans.

The Commercial Vehicle Group is accused of violating its contract with Rivian by sharply raising its prices after the contract was signed. The Journal reported that it said in court that the dispute could affect its ability to deliver the vans.

According to the report, the Commercial Vehicle Group denied the allegations, saying that it didn't have to deliver the seats at the lower price and that it raised the price after Rivian submitted changes to the design of the seats.

Rivian's shares were down in the afternoon. Representatives for Rivian and Commercial Vehicle did not return calls.
