Adam Schefter @AdamSchefterPackers and Pro-Bowl CB Jaire Alexander are finalizing a 4-year, $84 million contract extension, per source. Deal includes $31 million in 2022 - a DB record of $30 million in signing bonus. Alexander will receive $42.5M by March. @JohnThornton of @RocNationSports confirmed deal.

Ari Meirov @MySportsUpdateHighest paid cornerbacks on an average per-year basis: —> Jaire Alexander: $21M- Denzel Ward: $20.1M- Jalen Ramsey: $20M- Marlon Humphrey: $19.5M
- Marshon Lattimore: $19.4M
Alexander was set to make $13.3 million in the final year of his contract.
Alexander has blossomed into one of the more reliable corners in the league. He was named to the Pro Bowl and earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2020. Alexander has 186 total tackles, 44 pass deflections, five intercepts, three turnovers, and two forced turnovers in four seasons.
Alexander had a shoulder injury that limited him to just four games. He made an appearance in Green Bay's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but he was not used much. He is expected to be healthy in time for the next season.
The Packers are expected to contend for the Super Bowl again this year after retaining two-time reigningMVP quarterback Rodgers on a three-year, $150 million deal.
The Packers are fortifying their defensive backfield by locking up Alexander. Green Bay allowed 219.1 passing yards per game last season and will surely improve on that number with Alexander on the field.
