According to an SEC filing from D igital World Acquisition Corp, Donald Trump will partially restrict himself on social media even if Musk lifts his ban.

Trump has to first post to Truth Social, a new social network he supports, and can't publish the same content on another social media site for six hours. He can post to any site that he has access to after that.

If Musk allows Trump back on the platform, the six-hour policy would mostly affect Trump's use of the platform.

The filing said that Trump is free to post from his personal account on any platform at any time, which could give him some wiggle room if he runs for office.

Digital World Acquisition Corp has a deal to take Trump Media and Technology Group.

Trump was suspended from the platform in January 2021. The company said it made the decision after the Jan. 6 riot due to the risk of further insinuation of violence.

CNBC previously reported that some people close to Trump expect him to return to the platform even if invited.
