Drew is available for a new job.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Brees is ending his tenure as a studio and football game analyst for NBC Sports after just one year.

The quarterback is undecided about his future. He left the door open to return to playing.

Drew Brees @drewbrees

Despite speculation from media about my future this fall, I’m currently undecided. I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I’ll let you know

Marchand notes that the 43-year-old preferred working games as opposed to the Football Night in America studio show. NBC didn't have many spots to offer Brees because of the change in lead game analyst for Sunday Night Football. Marchand stated that NBC initially believed that Brees would succeed Collinsworth in the booth, but it later soured on his potential.

The upheaval of analysts and commentators finding new homes this off-season continued with the reported departure from NBC. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are on Monday Night Football. In its first season on Amazon Prime, Thursday Night Football will be broadcasted by Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit. Mike Tirico will replace Michaels on Sunday Night Football.

Marchand said that there is a chance that Brees will join Fox Sports as an analyst for the 2022 season because it still has to fill its top game analyst positions for this year.

Marchand stated that Amazon would be an option for him if he didn't land with Fox.
