R. Kelly and accused subway shooter Frank James have reportedly become jail 'buds': 'Both do get along'

The accused New York subway shooter, Frank James, has become a jailhouse "buds" with R. Kelly.

They talk about TV shows. They go to rec together. An unnamed source told The New York Daily News that they are buds.

Both get along. Another source told the outlet that they actually sit together and eat together.

The sex-trafficking trial of Kelly is still going on. James will face a life sentence if he is found guilty for the subway shooting that shocked New York City in April.

The two men, considered high-risk inmates, are being held in the same unit that keeps government cooperators.

The outlet said that James drinkscopious amounts of coffee and doesn't complain a lot. Kelly has his own room and is able to pass time by singing.

Kelly's attorney didn't respond to Insider's request for comment.
