Gary Payton II may be able to play in the Western Conference Finals.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that it would be a long shot for him to play, but that it was a possibility.

During the second game of the Warriors' second-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzles, Payton fractured his elbow on a hard foul and was ejected.

There was a possibility that he could return during the NBA Finals if Golden State made it that far.

The son of a Basketball Hall of Fame player thinks that the foul that injured him was not dirty.

According to the report, Payton said that it was an NBA playoff foul and didn't catch himself. Things happen. But it is behind me.

He is a hugely important role player for the Warriors because of his perimeter defense and shooting efficiency, and he is one of the NBA's most hard-nosed players.

In his sixth NBA season, the 29-year-old veteran set career highs, appearing in 71 regular-season games.

He shot 61.6% from the floor and 35.8 percent from beyond the rim while scoring 7.1 points, 3.5 rebound, 1.4 steals and 0.9 assists.

During the playoffs, he was performing at a high level, but he got injured and missed seven games. He shot 74.7% from the field and 74.7% from the long range.

Thanks to having one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the NBA, the Warriors have persevered despite the loss of Payton.

The top contributors are Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Otto Porter Jr.

The Warriors advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the sixth time in the last seven years, thanks to eliminating the Grizzles in Game 6.

The Golden State Warriors will face the winner of the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns in the conference finals.
