Pro-Russian hackers tried to launch cyberattacks during the contest.

The hacker groups Killnet and Legion were blocked by the Italian cybersecurity police during contest performances and voting.

According to Forbes, Killnet threatened to send 10 billion requests and add votes to other countries.

The Italian Senate, the upper house of parliament, and the National Health Institute were hacked last week by Killnet, which made it impossible to access websites for the agencies. Italian authorities said the cyberattacks were serious, but did not cause any damage.

Forbes says that Russia was banned from participating in the competition because of the invasion of Ukraine.

After the Kalush Orchestra won the contest, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised to host the next contest.

Zelenskyy thanked the Kalush Orchestra and everyone who voted for them. I am sure that the sound of victory in the battle with the enemy is close by.
