Christopher Steele, a former MI6 officer and author of the Russian dossier on Donald Trump, told Sky News that his sources have said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is seriously ill.

Steele, who ran the Russia desk at MI6 in London between 2006 and 2009, said that Putin is seriously ill.

His comments came after Major General Budanov of the Ukrainian military said that a coup was underway to remove Putin from office.
