The time is coming for the Memphis Grizzlies to be the team to beat in the Western Conference.

After getting eliminated in the second round of the playoffs after a 110-96 loss in Game 6 to the Golden State Warriors on Friday, the Memphis wing said the following. We are going to come every year.

The Warriors advanced to the Western Conference Finals despite the fact that the Memphis team that was the second seed in the West had a 56-26 record.

Stephen Curry had some fun with the comments made by the Memphis coach, telling Sam Amick of The Athletic: "He's said a lot of crazy things." He called himself a dynasty already, so you have to figure that out. The next round is on. We are back in the Western Conference Finals. Let's go!

After the first two games of the series, the complexion of the series changed when it was announced that Ja Morant was doubtful to return for the rest of the playoffs with a bone bruise to his knee.

In the fourth game of the series, the Grizzles battled and nearly pulled off an upset, but fell to the brink of elimination.

In Game 5, Memphis led by as much as 55 and won by 39 to stave off elimination and force a Game 6.

The game was close until the fourth quarter, when veteran sharpshooters Curry and Klay Thompson knocked down big shots for the Warriors.

If Morant had not gotten injured, things may have been different, according to the man. Ja is one of the best point guards in the league and obviously it would change, but we made do with what we had.

During the regular season, the 22-year-old Morant averaged 27.4 points, 6.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers made and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 34.4% from three-point range.

Memphis had five other players average double figures in scoring this season, including De Anthony Melton, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Brandon Clarke.

Most of the key players are 25 or younger, which may bode well for a bright future with plenty of playoffs success.

Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green are all over 30 so there may have been a sense of desperation for them to make a deep run this season.

This is good motivation, good learning, playing against two of the best shooters in history, and that is something that could be a catalyst for future years. It was an amazing feeling to go against them. We are going to take this throughout the summer and be ready to do it again.

The championship window may not be open for much longer, and there is no idea how long point guard Chris Paul will play, as his retirement would push the top-seeded Phoenix Suns down in the pecking order.

No team in the NBA appears better equipped to win big over the long term than the Memphis Grizzles, and according to comments from the player, he and his teammates are aware of that.
