Key art for Netflix's YA series, First Kill, featuring the two leads in an intimate pose.

Maybe you have been thinking to yourself that you could watch a supernatural series this summer. Maybe one that is gay, explicitly so, rather than just dancing around it for years. First Kill is a supernatural series about two teens falling for each other while being on opposite ends of a war between humans and Vampires. The first trailer for the series was released earlier this week and it looks like it could be a fun binge for the summer season.

First Kill is attempting to play in the same places as Buffy and the Underworld movies. On the other side, we have a girl who comes from a long line of important Vampires and must now take her first life so she can be considered one of the family. There is a new girl in town named Calliope, and Juliette decided that she will be a potential victim. The plot twist is that Calliope has to kill her first vampire in order to join her family lifestyle.

It is only a matter of time before Cal and Juliette are torn their family loyalties, because a romance blossoms between slayer and monster. Their families are almost certainly going to tear each other apart over this romance, and apparently a demon and a werewolf are going to get involved in the brawl. This looks like a decent amount of time, hopefully it succeeds at having fun with its supernatural world and also being pretty gay.

First Kill will premiere on Netfix on June 10.
