Democrats have visited Zelenskyy in Kyiv before this visit. The wife of Zelenskyy met with Biden on Mother's Day. Pelosi made a surprise visit to Zelenskyy in early May.
Zelenskyy was told by Pelosi that America's commitment is to be there for him until the fight is over.
The call for bipartisan support comes as Ukraine officials called out GOP Sen. Paul for delaying billions of dollars in aid as it battles Russia. According to a recent review from Insider, Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Thomas Massie of Kentucky have voted against nearly every single bill passed in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
