One of the most memorable scenes in 1986's Ferris Bueller's Day Off takes place at Wrigley Field.

Ferris, his friends, and his girlfriend, Sloane, have skipped school to go to Chicago. Ferris catches a foul ball at Wrigley Field as part of their adventures. Dean Ed Rooney missed a chance to catch a glimpse of him as the camera cut away from his catch.

At least one lucky fan has purchased a piece of that particular piece of history.

A ticket from the game where the scene was filmed was bought by Heritage Auctions. The ticket sold for over $1,000.

Some fan at the game held on to their ticket and it turned out to be a good decision, according to Mike Provenzale, sports operations supervisor and auctioneer at Heritage.

The game was played on Sept. 24, 1985, and the Cubs lost 17-15. The biggest star was future baseball hall of famer Andre Dawson, who went 4-for6 with three home runs and eight RBIs.

In the past, tickets to high-profile sporting events have sold for a lot of money. In February, Heritage auctioned off a ticket from Robinson's MLB debut for $480,000.
