A new bundle of tabletop RPGs is raising money for reproductive rights

In the wake of the potential repeal of the abortion law in the United States, independent game developers are stepping up. Roll for Romance and over 200 other creators collaborated to create a new game called TTRPGs for Reproductive Rights on itch.io.

The description of the bundle states that reproductive rights are fundamental and non-negotiable human rights.

The games in the bundle are worth over $1,000 and are only $5. The National Network for Abortion Funds gets all of the proceeds from sales. The Abortionists is a live-action role-playing game that tells the story of the Jane Collective, a group of women in Illinois who offered underground abortion services.

The support of abortion rights is not alone. After news about the leaked Supreme Court opinion broke, Bungie became the first video game company to speak out, condemning the news and offering support for its employees.

Bungie is committed to protecting the privacy of its employees and providing support to those affected by the decision. Double Fine believes that a decision to overturn the abortion law would have a negative impact on the lives of everyone in this country.

Itch.io is the go-to site for charitable gaming. In March, the platform hosted a bundle for Ukrainian relief, earning over $1 million in its first day. The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund were supported by the platform in 2020. Similar success seems to be on the way for TTRPGs for Reproductive Rights. The goal for the bundle was $2,500, but it was more than doubled after being live for four hours. The bundle ends on June 13th.
