The Toronto Maple Leafs were tight-lipped on the officials after several plays went against them in a Game 6 overtime loss to the Lightning in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Toronto had a chance to send the defending two-time Stanley Cup champion packing with a win and were close to it, holding a 3-2 lead midway through the third period. A controversial high-sticking penalty was called against David Kampf and then another went against Alex Kerfoot just 16 seconds later, giving the Bolts a 5-on-3 power play.
Nikita Kucherov capitalized on the two extra men to force overtime. Point's game-winner gave the Bolts a 4-3 win and forced a Game 7 in Toronto.
Alex Killorn held Auston Matthews by the jersey for several seconds in the offensive zone, but it was not called in overtime. Matthews was tripped up at center ice and taken out of the play before Point scored the winning goal.
Toronto's players were upset with the lack of calls and were seen arguing with officials on the ice. The only thing the Leafs said off the ice did most of the talking.
When asked about the officials in the game, John Tavares said they didn't have any comments.
Matthews was reticent when asked about his opinion on the officials.
He told reporters after the game that he was not going to comment on that.

He said he was not going to comment on that. It is about the next game.
Jon Cooper had a different take on the situation, saying that the Leafs earned both third-period penalties and took advantage of them.
The series will be decided in a Game 7. It is not the Leafs strong suit to close out a playoff series. They are 0-8 in series-deciding games since the beginning of the year. They have failed to reach the second round of the playoffs since 2004.
In the Game 6 win, the Lightning kept their streak alive. After losing Game 5 on Tuesday, the team moved to 17-0 in the playoffs.
To keep their hopes of a three-peat alive, the Lightning will have to take Game 7 on the road.
