  • Release date: April 25, 2013
  • Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow

There is a lot of debate over the quality of the Iron Man sequels. The first Iron Man film set the standards for the rest of the MCU, but its sequels couldn't always reach that high bar. For us, Iron Man 3 is the better of the two because it shows a vulnerable Tony Stark for the first time.

Tony is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, which leads him to make questionable choices because he is so focused on keeping his loved ones safe. If you can put the Mandarin storyline aside, then you will see a sequel which shows real inner turmoil and growth for its superhero.

14. Captain Marvel

  • Release date: March 8, 2019
  • Cast: Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn

The first female-led MCU movie was a long time coming, but fans finally got what they wanted in the movie, which was the all powerful Captain Marvel. Set in the 90s, Captain Marvel is full of empowering female characters, some impressive CGI skills and more nostalgia than you can shake a Flerken at.

It isn't higher on our list of the best movies. You never forget to watch a superhero film. Most MCU films are special because of the realism that makes them. The jeopardy feels abstract and the jokes and one-liners don't always land right.

13. Ant-Man and the Wasp

  • Release date: July 6, 2018
  • Cast: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly

If you liked the first film, you will love the sequel. We went back and forth on whether or not to put it higher up than the original. It has everything that made the first film so special, but it goes one better.

After the events of Civil War, our hero is under house arrest and on the outs with the Pyms, when a chance to save Hope brings them back together. The family story at the center of this sequel - for the hero, and the villain, Ghost - really pulls on your heartstrings.

12. The Avengers

  • Release date: May 4, 2012
  • Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson

It's true that no one thought it could be done, but it's true now that we've seen it. When it was announced that there would be six different superhero movies, only four of which had their own movies, everyone thought it would be a mess.

The film is almost perfect. The groundwork which had already been laid in previous movies helped pave the way for the cinematic collaboration, allowing audiences to dive straight into the action without having to wonder who everyone was. The Avengers is one of the best movies of the year because of the quippy one-liners the MCU was becoming known for and a human story at its center.

11. Ant-Man

  • Release date: July 17, 2015
  • Cast: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly

It's a shame that the film doesn't make the top 10 best movies of all time. The style and humor of the first Iron Man film made it a hit, and it's the same style and humor that will make the first Ant-Man a hit in the MCU. Paul Rudd is an ex-con who barely gets to see his daughter and is struggling to make ends meet when Michael Douglas recruits him to help stop his former partner from using technology for evil.

Rudd is perfectly cast as the immature but loveable hero at the center of it all, which is one of the reasons that the movie works so well. With a lot of jokes and a unique miniature final fight, Ant-Man deserves its spot on the list of best movies.

There is a man named ant-man.

10. Thor: Ragnarok

  • Release date: November 3, 2017
  • Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett

The cinematic journey of THOR had been pretty shit. The first movie isn't terrible, but it isn't great, and we need to mention the second one. There is something about the theatrical superhero who looks more at home in a Shakespeare play than in the modern world. It's the charm, as they say.

Taika Waititi's genius move to lean into the comedy of the character rather than ignore it allowed for one of the funniest films in the MCU. Also, since he wasn't allowed another solo film, and since he introduced a lot of awesome new characters, includingValkyrie, Korg, and many more, he came along for the ride. There is one of the best villains in the MCU. Hela was the wicked and wonderful.

There is a movie called "Throat: Ragnarok."

9. Spider-Man: Homecoming

  • Release date: July 7, 2017
  • Cast: Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr.

By the time Sony and the MCU collaborated on a Spider-Man movie, fans already felt like they had one too many versions of the web-slinging superhero. They were happy that Spider-Man was introduced in Captain America: Civil War. The success of the character is down to the perfect casting of Tom Holland and after a great performance in Civil War, he was the first individual adventure for the character.

Jon Watts kept the superhero on track with his neighborhood conflict with the Vulture, even though Peter was thinking about becoming an Avenger. A painfully human story that just happens to involve superheroes is what the MCU is all about.

8. Iron Man

  • Release date: May 2, 2008
  • Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow

The first Iron Man film was the very first movie ever made in the MCU and it is hard to not treat it with a sense of reverence. It isn't on our list of the top 11 best movies ever just because it was the first one. It has everything you want, from a charismatic but flawed hero at the center of a story about doing the right thing to tons of gadgets.

The equipment is one of the best things about Iron Man. The Iron Man suit was made better thanks to Tony Stark, the man behind the wheel, who is a lovable man. The conflict between Iron Man and Iron Monger is low key by today's standards, but it matches the journey the superhero was on to become one of the biggest names in superhero cinema.

The man is Iron Man.

7. Captain America: Civil War

  • Release date: May 6, 2016
  • Cast: Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson

Everyone's favorite superhero team split up over a disagreement about their own autonomy in Captain America: Civil War. When the two teams collide, you get one of the best superhero films of all time. Civil War is one of the best superhero movies because it took the conflict between Cap and Iron Man, which had been bubbling under the surface for a while, to a devastating new level.

Civil War was more entertaining than any other fight and would have long-term consequences for the future of the MCU. Black Panther is one of the best new superhero in the MCU.

6. Black Panther

  • Release date: February 13, 2018
  • Cast: Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o

Black Panther is one of the best movies ever made. After the events of Civil War and the death of his father, the superhero returns home to become king of the world of Wakanda. One of the reasons Black Panther is one of the best movies is because it has one of the best villains; Killmonger.

The fight for the throne is an action-packed and emotional story, which left fans desperate for more and solidified Black Panther's position as one of the best new superheroes on the scene.

There is a film called Black Panther.

5. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

  • Release date: April 4, 2014
  • Cast: Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson

It has been said that the reason the MCU movies are so good is because they are great comedy/action/thriller movies first and superhero movies second. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of the best spy movies of all time. Steve Rogers is adjusting to the modern world after saving the world in The Avenger.

The assassin is more myth than man, but he starts a chain reaction that will lead to the world being turned upside down. The Winter Soldier is a pivotal movie in the MCU timeline and contains the most perfect action sequence you will ever see.

The Winter Soldier is a film about Captain America.

4. Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-man: No Way Home

  • Release date: December 15, 2021
  • Cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch

Fans of Spider-Man already felt like they had one too many versions of the web-slinging superhero, but thanks to the perfect casting of Tom Holland and Jon Watts, the movie will be different. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the best movie in the trilogy.

After the events of Far From Home, Spider-Man is struggling with the revelation of his true identity. He tried to get Doctor Strange to help make everyone forget, but the spell went wrong and caused the multiverses to collide. Bad news for them, but great news for fans as this means we get to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Mans visit the MCU, as well as some of the best villains from their films. No Way Home is one of the best films of the year because it has plenty of laughs between the three Spideys, but also some heartbreaking moments, which makes the previous Sony Spider-Man films better.

3. Avengers: Infinity War

  • Release date: April 27, 2018
  • Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans

You can imagine The Avengers, but a 1,000% bigger. There are a lot of new superheros who will be appearing in the next movie to try and save everyone from the clutches of the bad guy.

This film could have been a mess if the brothers hadn't managed to bring it all together into a film which is actually one of the best movies out there. With equal parts action and heart,Infinity War raises the bar for the MCU and sets it up to push it even further.

There is a movie called "Instur War."

2. Guardians of the Galaxy

  • Release date: August 1, 2014
  • Cast: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace

A wise-cracking manchild, a tree, a daughter, and a grief-ridden murderer are not the best combination for a superhero team. The concept for the first Guardians film didn't win many fans over, but it's now considered one of the best movies ever made. It is due in no small part to its ridiculous sense of humor and phenomenal soundtrack.

TheGuardians aren't afraid to have fun whilst saving the day, usually because they are a bit iffy on whether they are the heroes or villains, depending on how they are feeling at the time On a daily basis, they might fight and snark at each other, but they are a family. A dangerous family.

There is a movie called "Guardians of the GALAXY".

1. Avengers: Endgame

Avengers Endgame_Marvel

  • Release date: April 26, 2019
  • Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans

So, what is the best movie ever? Of course, it's the sequel to Avengers: Endgame. It might seem like a predictable top pick, but there is more to it than that. It also introduces time travel to the MCU, because of the individual moments which make Endgame great. This is mind-blowing in terms of what it means for future films, but it also means we got to relive some of the key moments in the MCU before we said a teary farewell.

It was so emotional because we lost three of the original Avengers. The goodbyes of Cap and Tony were not easy for fans, but they were perfect for the characters. It was 10 years after we first heard "I am Iron Man" in cinemas that we realized that the MCU would be where it was when Tony uttered those words for the last time.

The best thing about Endgame is that it sets up the future as well. Morgan Stark is going to grow up to do a lot of things, not to mention Cap passing the shield onto Falcon. The end of the Infinity Saga is perfect. The beginning is perfect for the MCU. That's why it's the best movie.
