Manager Joe Girardi revealed Thursday that PhiladelphiaPhilly star BryceHarper has a small tear in his ulnar nerve.

A minor injury early in the year did not deter him from being a bright spot for the Phils. He was on the injured list for two weeks because of a bruised wrist. He missed three days after being hit in the face by a pitch.
The 2021 campaign was one of the best. He was named the NL's Most Valuable Player for the second time after hitting 35 homers and driving in 84 runs in 141 games.
Philadelphia is off to a disappointing start and sits third in the NL East.
Other Philadelphia players may be asked to carry the load if the injury affectsHarper at the plate. J.T. Realmuto is the best catcher in baseball. Hoskins hit.530 last season.
