The first public subpoenas were issued by the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot.
The committee asked for documents from McCarthy and other Republicans.
In December, January and May, all five representatives were asked to appear voluntarily.
The committee said that Biggs tried to convince state officials the election was rigged, and that Jordan tried to bribe the DOJ.
The committee said that Jordan and McCarthy were in contact with Trump on the day of the Capitol riot, and that McCarthy claimed that he was at least partially to blame for the incident.
The committee noted that after the Capitol riot, the rally near the White House was addressed by the author, who urged the crowd to start taking down names and kicking ass.
The committee said it had evidence that the vice president can refuse to count electoral votes if he so chooses.
Some Trump allies have cooperated with the committee, while others have resisted. Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law, as well as some former Trump officials, appeared before the committee under subpoena but were less forthcoming. Steve Bannon, a former Trump advisor, was charged with contempt of Congress after he tried to argue that former President Trump's executive privilege prevented him from testifying. The House voted April 6 to recommend contempt charges against former White House trade advisor Peter Navarro and former communications staffer Daniel Scavino Jr. after they refused to comply with the committee's subpoenas and cited Trump's executive privilege.
The doctrine of executive privilege allows the president to keep information from the public in order to protect the public interest. The Supreme Court and other judicial authorities have rejected Trump's attempts to use executive privilege to hold back White House records from the committee, finding that Joe Biden's privilege as the current president outweighs Trump's privilege as a former president.
According to a report, Biden told the National Archives to give 8th batches of Trump records.
