After 177 days in space, the crew of the Crew 3 returned to Earth aboard the Crew Dragon.
A panel for Crew 3 members that just splashed down last week after their stay on the International Space Station was led by Marshburn. During the live conference, Marshburn said that the ships he has flown in are the same, even though they are different, because of simple physics.
The Shuttle landing was very smooth, according to Marshburn. We almost didn't know we landed. At both launch and landing, there were differences that were enjoyable to observe.
Re-entry is a lot of fun, which is probably what makes him an astronauts. It would make anyone else do flips if they heard him describe the freefall.
As the missions to the Moon and Mars are heating up, Crew 3 arrived back on Earth. NASA's Artemis program is taking a Moon-to-Mars approach, and will work with the private sector to transport people to the moon. A decade from now, a crewed mission to Mars will be planned by SpaceX.
The review by Marshburn shows how far we've come in space exploration, which isn't even over yet. It's fun to imagine what it would be like to go through a rocket launch.
If everything goes according to plan, more humans could find out for themselves.
There is more on space.
