The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October of 2022, setting up a Super Bowl rematch with Tom Brady.
The full regular-season schedule will be released later in the day, but the Week 4 game was announced Thursday morning.
The game will mark the sixth meeting between Brady and Mahomes and will air on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Brady has played in three of the four games against Mahomes and has a 2-2 record.
Brady was named the game's Most Valuable Player and won his seventh career title, as the Bucs beat the Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV. In the Super Bowl, he threw two picks.
The Kansas City Chiefs lost in the playoffs for the fourth time in five years last season, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the team with 4,839 yards and 37 touchdown passes.
In his second season with the Buccaneers, Brady led the league with a career-high 5,316 passing yards and 43 touchdown passes.
The league will have a Week 2 Monday Night Football game in the year 2022, as well as three Christmas Day games.
