Grizzlies put up historic performance in Game 5 rout of Warriors (2:15)

In Ja Morant's absence, Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Grizzlies put up a historic performance, dismantling the Warriors 134-95. (1:45)

Ja Morant started a chant after the Grizzles beat the Warriors to keep their season alive.

After Memphis routed Golden State 134-95 in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals on Wednesday night, the injured Morant chanted "Grizz in seven"

Morant made sure everyone heard his message when a few of his teammates cheered him on. While Memphis forward Brandon Clarke was doing a postgame interview on the court, Morant grabbed the microphone and shouted "Grizz in seven!"

Even without their star point guard, who missed his second straight game due to a bone bruise in his right knee, the Grizzles dominated the Warriors. The 39-point win by Memphis was the third-largest victory in NBA playoff history, and it was led by as much as 55 points.

The team believes they have a chance to win again and force a Game 7 in Memphis.

The forward said that they were all focused on Game 6. Try to survive.

The game was a one-point game at halftime, but the Grizzlies blew it open in 13 minutes. In the first half, Memphis scored 25 points off Golden State turnovers and had 36 points in the paint.

Klay Thompson, a guard for the Warriors, suffered through the second-largest loss in a game in which he, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green all played together.

It was embarrassing. They had great flow and were more aggressive than us. We all thought we were going to close it out tonight, but sometimes we played like a shell of ourselves.

The Grizzlies opened the third with a 42-14 run as their lead grew to 118-64 with 40 seconds left in the quarter. Otto Porter Jr. was ruled out for the second half because of a sore knee.

Curry was asked what went wrong for the Warriors.

It was one game in the series and we lost. Don't make a lot of it.

This was just another example of the Grizzles' resilience without their floor general. When playing without Morant, Memphis improved to 21-6).

The guard said that they feel like they have exceeded expectations and that they can turn the series around. I don't want to put a limit on what we can do.

After the game, the coach was asked if there was any chance of Morant returning for the next game. Morant is doubtful to return from his injury.

As of now, it's pretty doubtful.

The Warriors know they have to respond on their home court.

Thompson said that it doesn't feel good to lose as much as we did. You remember who you are when you flush it from your mind.

We are going to play with 100% effort on Friday. I like our chances.
