The Larry O&Brien Trophy, the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player and the Eastern and Western Conference awards were among the new awards unveiled by the NBA.

The new postseason trophies were designed in collaboration with artist Victor Solomon and Tiffany and Co., and are named after NBA legends.
The NBA championship has been won by O'Brien since 1984, while the Finals Most Valuable Player has been named after Russell since 2009. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson will be named after the conference finals' most valuable player. The Eastern and Western Conference championship trophies have been changed to honor Bob and Oscar.
The NBA Conference Finals are the last hurdle a team must face in order to make it to the big stage, according to Johnson.
Bird was named the NBA's Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player.
The Larry O'Brien trophy has been changed to reflect the league looking ahead to its future and to have two discs on top of it.

The base structure for the conference championship and conferenceMVP awards will be focused on a sterling silver basketball. The Bill Russell Award has a gold vermeil net similar to the Magic Johnson and Larry BirdMVP awards.
