Kevin de Bruyne welcomed new signing Erling Haaland to Manchester City with more than a decent imitation of the prolific Norwegian.

After scoring four goals in a win over Wolves, De Bruyne mimicked Haaland's famous meditation celebration pose.

I did it because I scored three. De Bruyne said that that never happens.

In a message to the rest of the league, Manchester City's manager has backed Haaland to adapt quickly to his style of football and insisted that the team will be even better with the 21-year-old up front.

He is signed for the next years, said the coach.

He is a young talented player and I am very pleased he decided to join us. We are going to work together next season, hopefully he can settle.

We will help him to settle in Manchester as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure he's going to adapt quickly to the way we want to play.

After scoring 10 goals in two games, City are just four points away from another title.

After the victory at Wolves, which saw Kevin De Bruyne score four times in an hour, he had a lot of praise for the Belgian.

He missed the fifth goal, the post, and I am disappointed for him.

What can I say? The second part of the league was perfect. I think this season he has the sense to be prolific and score goals, because he is always so generous and has the sense to make an assist.

He scored against Madrid and won the game. He has been decisive in scoring goals. He scored four goals in the decisive part of the league and I am very happy for him.

There are injuries ahead of the trip to West Ham.

Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias and John Stones have already been ruled out of the final two games of the season, while Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho were injured during the second half at Wolves.
