The Golden State Warriors had a chance to end the Memphis Grizzles playoff run in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.
Stephen Curry gave an insight on Golden State&s mentality, saying:
Whoop that trick! That is our game plan.
Al Kapone is a Memphis-born rapper. It has become the official anthem of the Memphis Grizzles and is played in FedExForum during late-game moments.
The game didn't go as planned for Curry and Co. The Grizzles put up a big win to avoid elimination.
The Warriors put up 50 in the first half, but Memphis scored 77 points in the first half, the second-most in a playoff game all-time.
In the second half, the home team kept up their pace. They led by as many as 55 points, the second largest lead at any point of a playoff game over the last 25 years.
The 39-point win by the Grizzles is the largest in the playoffs.
The home crowd roared as the song blared in the fourth quarter. Curry and Draymond Green appeared to enjoy the chant despite the deficit.
