Shaquem Griffin, a pro football player, has been tapped to serve as the godfather of the flagship vessel, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.

Despite not having a left hand, he made the Seattle Seahawks roster. At birth, he was diagnosed with amniotic band syndrome, which led to the amputation of his left hand at 4 years old.

The ship will be christened at the Port of Palm Beach in Florida on May 12 ahead of the inaugural sailing of the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.

The ship is scheduled to leave Palm Beach on May 14.

Throughout his football career, he has been an advocate for the physically challenged as well as young athletes, co-founding the St. Petersburg Nitro Track Club, a nonprofit focused on youth sports, with his twin brother Shaquill.

The brand has a relationship with the organization and has pledged a donation.

The winner of the Game Changer Award was named in 2019. The NCAA Inspiration Award was given to him. The University of Central Florida has a football team.

As a passionate philanthropist, Shaquem's efforts within our local community align with our own commitment to giving back, and he is a true inspiration on every front.

The former Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is now known as Margaritaville at Sea.

The Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will have 658 cabins, multiple dining venues, pools, entertainment programming, retail outlets, and a St. Somewhere Spa. The fitness center is one of the amenities.
