Donald Trump was ordered to pay $110,000 in fines by a New York State judge on Wednesday, but the civil contempt finding against him will be lifted if he complies with certain conditions.

The Trump Organization must provide affidavits with more details on their practices for destroying and retaining documents as well as payment of the fine to the New York Attorney General or the civil contempt finding will be reinstated.
The ruling comes after Trump's lawyers filed a host of recent court documents claiming they conducted a thorough search of Trump's records and could not locate any new subpoenas.
Trump and his lawyers have not provided enough information about the search for his documents.
Trump was held in contempt of court in April after James argued that he did not comply with her subpoena to hand over tax records and other documents despite a March 31 deadline.
The office of James and the lawyers for Trump did not respond to the requests from Forbes.
James launched a civil investigation into whether Trump used false statements to get loans and avoid taxes. She did so after Michael Cohen said that Trump and his company lied about the value of assets. Trump accused James of leading a politically motivated investigation. While the Trump Organization has turned over thousands of documents to the attorney general's office, Trump has only provided a handful of personal records. His lawyers have argued that he does not have the documents subpoenaed by the New York Attorney General. In an affidavit last week, Trump claimed that he had turned over all the material in his possession that James' office had subpoenaed. Trump had appealed the contempt ruling and had tried to overturn the fines.
The New York Attorney General requested that Trump lose his cell phones.
