Police arrested 9 people for AirDrop crash images.

A taxiing plane returned to the gate at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport after photos of aviation disasters popped up on passengers' phones.

166 passengers on the AndoluJet flight received images through an AirDrop, causing a mass panic.

One passenger fainted and another had a panic attack.

Security personnel boarded the plane to find out who was responsible after the plane returned to the terminal.

A spokesman for the Israel Airports Authority said that the incident was not a cyberattack and that nine people had been arrested.

They were described as Israeli citizens.

The police and the security authorities will find out why the suspects did it, according to Ofer Lefler.

The suspects could be charged with dissemination of false information, an offense that carries a maximum prison term of three years in Israel.

Last year a teenager caused a plane in San Francisco to be evacuated after sending a photo of a gun via AirDrop.
