While supplies last, the portable music player is sold out in some configurations on Apple's online store in the United States.

The (PRODUCT)RED model of the iPod touch is sold out in the US, and it can no longer be ordered with a larger amount of storage. It is clear that Apple's remaining iPod touch inventory is quickly running out.

The iPod was introduced in 2001 and is one of Apple's most popular products, but the device's discontinuation became inevitable given the wide array of Apple products that can play music.

The spirit of iPod is still alive, according to Apple's marketing chief. There is no better way to experience music than with Apple Music.

The iPod touch may still be found at select Apple Store locations and at Apple Authorized Resellers even though stock is low. The seventh-generation iPod touch has a 4-inch display, an A10 chip, and a classic Home button without Touch ID.

Apple will no longer sell iPods once the iPod touch is sold out.
