Barbie is on her way to representation.
The new line-up of Barbies is centered around diversity and inclusion. A range of dolls with a variety of body types are included in the line. New dolls will take different shapes and sizes. There are dolls with short hair and slender body types.
The dolls will be updated in June of 2022.
Barbie is the most diverse doll line on the market and is committed to continuing to introduce dolls featuring a range of skin tones, body types.
It's important for kids to see themselves reflected in product and to encourage play with dolls that don't look like them to help them understand and celebrate the importance of inclusion.
The first Barbie with hearing aids will be in the line. Dr. Jen Richardson was involved in the development of the doll.
Dr. Richardson said she was honored to have worked with Barbie.

As an educational audiologist with over 18 years of experience working in hearing loss advocacy, it is inspiring to see those who experience hearing loss reflected in a doll. I am thrilled for my patients to see and play with a doll that looks like them.
The Barbie Fashionista line will be available at Target, Walmart, and Amazon in June of 2022.
